JTPM 2024 Wrapped – Our Year in Review!

2024 has been a big year of changes, challenges and significant achievements for JT. Production Management! With baby number two on the way, our Directors, Julia and Victor took a step back, appointed the company’s first CEO, Simon Coburn and promoted Emily Bennett to a newly created role as General Manager – Events.

Our new leadership team had their hands full with 74 events to deliver across four countries, six states and territories and three regional locations! Here’s a quick breakdown of what we produced this year:

  • 12 conferences (2+ days each)
  • 17 hybrid or virtual events (including 1 global event!)
  • 9 award ceremonies
  • 8 boat tours
  • 4 breakfasts
  • 4 gala dinners
  • 3 lunches
  • And many others!

Client Partnerships

Needless to say, we could not have achieved what we did without the unwavering support of our clients. We have a high number (almost 90%) of returning clients, which demonstrates our ability to work in true partnership and collaboration, as well as deliver high quality results.

Two partnerships in particular stood out in 2024:

UDIA Victoria – working closely with the leadership and marketing teams, we produced seven events for the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Victoria, including two summits, two industry breakfasts, one industry lunch, one footy lunch and an end of year awards gala. Here are the details:

  • 29 May: UDIA Annual Urban Development Summit at Zinc at Fed Square
  • 14 August: UDIA Residential Housing Update Research Lunch at the Grand Hyatt
  • 29 August: UDIA Footy Lunch at Crown Palladium
  • 5 September: UDIA Research Breakfast on Melbourne Apartment Supply Pipeline at RACV City Club
  • 13 November: UDIA Greenfield Market Research Update Breakfast at Crown Palladium
  • 20 November: UDIA Geelong Summit at The Pier, Geelong
  • 29 November: UDIA Awards Gala and End of Year Celebration at Crown Palladium

ANZMAC – We celebrated four years working with the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) and travelled to Hobart, Tasmania to produce their annual ANZMAC Conference from 2 – 4 December.

Running over 3 days, with more than 36 concurrent sessions each day, plus a welcome function at Hobart Brewing Company and Gala Dinner at Princess Wharf – this year’s conference was once again a big hit!

It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with ANZMAC on the past three Conferences:

  • 2021 – Melbourne, VIC
  • 2022 – Perth, WA
  • 2023 – Dunedin, New Zealand

And we’re looking forward to delivering our fifth consecutive ANZMAC Conference in Sydney, NSW from 28-30 November 2025!

Team Highlights

To help us reflect and celebrate the year that was, we asked the team to share their top moments of 2024. While it’s always hard to pick a favourite, we’ve selected three events to highlight:

ADRF:

Hundreds of experts from around the world shared the latest developments in dementia research, care and policy for the 2024 Australian Dementia Research Forum (ADRF) at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort, from 3 – 5 June.

The 3-day program included:

  • 13 continuing Education professional development sessions
  • 8 Symposiums
  • 7 keynote speeches including international experts from Singapore, New Zealand, London and the US
  • 6 specialist groups

Plus plenty of time to catch up, unwind and soak in the warm Queensland sunshine!

“The experience at ADRF was truly inspiring. Watching everything come to life and discovering the delegates’ incredible work was nothing short of amazing.” Tayla

JTPM will be producing ADRF again from 3 – 5 June 2025 in Perth, WA. More info.

prefabAUS Offsite:

prefabAUS is the peak body for Australia’s off-site construction industry. Over 200 delegates from more than 130 companies and organisations came together for Offsite 2024: prefabAUS Roadmap to 2033 in Sydney, on 28 – 29 August 2024. This year’s Conference (the 2nd JTPM has produced) included a new addition of the Smart Building Industry Awards (SBIA) at the conclusion of Day 1.

“In its inaugural year, the SBIA provided an incredible opportunity to showcase and celebrate the accomplishments of the industry, both as teams and individuals.” Krissy

Impactful Events – Making a Difference

Delivering events that give back remains and important part of our business and core purpose, so we were delighted to be able to support these inspiring organisations:

  • SisterWorks – proceeds from the inaugural International Women’s Day breakfast on 28 February went to empowering migrant and refugee women.
  • Western Health – we helped raise $145,000 from the WalkWest walkathon on 7 April, to help purchase two ECMO machines for Western Health.
  • Western Chances – we helped raise $185,000 at the 21st Anniversary Good Business Forum on 24 October. JTPM is WC’s official pro-bono event partner!
  • Port of Melbourne – we helped raised almost $10,000 to support seafarers through public boat tours held in March, October and November.

Content Showcase

Many clients embraced our video production and photography offering in 2024, and we delivered lots of engaging content, ready to be shared across various platforms such as websites and social media. Here’s two projects we delivered for FECCA:

FECCA Conference – highlights reel:

We filmed, edited and produced a highlights reel at the FECCA Conference in Brisbane, which was shared as part of the closing formalities on the last day!

Capturing key moments across the 2.5 days, recording vox pops with event attendees and putting it all together with captions and client branding, certainly kept our production team busy! Ultimately, we produced a valuable asset that can now be shared across various platforms and for many years to come.

“What’s your vision for a Multicultural Australia?” – hype reel:

As part of the Conference promotion, FECCA asked their members and supporters to share a video answering – “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮?”

They received many diverse, heartfelt and passionate video submissions from around the country and our team collated and edited all of the video submissions to produce an animated hype video – a powerful and positive representation of a collective vision for the future of our country!

The video was shared at the Conference and across social media. Check out below.
