5 event app features to transform your next event

What happens when you can’t find a single event app that provides all the functions and features you need to plan and deliver your next big event? You build your own…

About 92% of Australians use a smartphone on a daily basis. These handy all-in-one devices allow us to do just about anything from communicating with family and friends to entertainment, education, health monitoring and even in business. While there are event apps around, there are often limitations, they lack flexibility and are not easy to use from an attendee, or organiser’s perspective.

It’s been six-month in the making, but JT Production Management together with Brisbane-based tech solutions agency Cedar Street are excited to officially launch the new Future Events Lab mobile event app this month. Created using a focus on human-centred design and usability; the app is made by event professionals for event professionals.

Combining the most creative minds in the industry and more than 20 years of experience in event planning and technology, Future Events Lab gives event organisers and attendees full control and accessibility to every element of their program to optimise and maximise the event experience.

The goal of the Future Events Lab App is to deliver more seamless, immersive, and memorable experiences that will redefine how organisers and attendees connect and engage with events, forums, exhibitions and conferences.

Some of the app functions include event countdowns, scan entry or registration, in session live chats and polls, private chat, push notifications and announcements, app search (schedule, exhibitors and attendees).

Top 5 Future Events Lab App features:

  1. Live Streaming: watch live sessions or videos while interacting with speakers and fellow attendees in real time, to create a more dynamic and engaging event experience.
  2. Interactive Maps: explore venues and spaces with interactive maps and floor plans, zoom in and out, real-time navigation and google maps integration, to locate specific areas, amenities and exhibitors.
  3. Personalised Scheduling: build tailored itineraries, using calendar integrations with reminders and alerts, so attendees can focus on what’s important to them and enjoy a seamless event experience.
  4. Custom Profiles: discover presenter, exhibitor and attendee bios and profiles including social media integrations to enable meaningful connections and networking opportunities.
  5. Analytics: measure the success and effectiveness of your event using in-app data and analytics, to understand what participants are engaged in and make more informed decisions.

The mobile app has been designed to be user-friendly and fully customisable and has been quickly embraced by forward-thinking organisations such as The University of Melbourne and Lifestyle Medicine Australia. The App comes with support from an in-house technical team for prompt and reliable assistance on event day/s and is receiving glowing feedback and reviews in its first month on the market.
