      Frequently Asked Questions About Event Video Production

      Do you only provide video production for events?

      We provide a range of production services across photography, videography, editing and even AV.

      Can you capture video during live, high-pressure events?

      We offer livestream videography, as well as camera-to-screen and live-capture videography.

      Do you offer event video production outside Melbourne?

      Yes, we have a team on the ground in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane/Gold Coast, and service Australia-wide. Our editing is generally done in our Melbourne office.

      How do you work alongside event managers and AV teams?

      Our videography and photography team work alongside our events operation team on an almost daily basis, however we support other agencies, event management businesses and clients where we’re not the contracted event delivery team. Our production team will liaise directly with the venue or contracted AV team on all technical elements to ensure alignment and all required equipment is in place.

      Can you support hybrid and digital events with video?

      Absolutely. We often undertake pre-event editing to create opening hype reels for hybrid and digital events, or pre-record speakers who may not be available to present on the day. We also provide the videography team to facilitate the livestream.

      What types of event videos do you produce?

      We can produce any format and legnth of video, including things such a camera to piece, talking head, hype and highlights reels, vox pops, drone footage and more. We produce videos designed for social media or other digital channels.

      How far in advance should event video be planned?

      You should always plan for videography from the start of the scoping project. Videography costs can vary depending on how many days your event is, as well as the quantity and editing requirements of the videos needing to be produced. Therefore, they should always be considered at the very start of the event planning process so budgets can account for these costs.

      Can video be used for sponsors and post-event reporting?

      Not only can they, they should be used for these purposes. Video is a great way to capture your sponsors’ branding, activations, speakers and involvement in the event and demonstrate real value back to them post-event.

      What makes JT different from a standalone video production company?

      We are an event management business so we understand events and how to maximise videography as part of the wider event, both in logistical and operational practicalities and in post-event use of the footage.
